Capcom has exhumed some grisly Resident Evil 4 gameplay footage ahead of its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release later this month.
There’s two videos to feast your eyes on; one taking place in the village section towards the start of the game (complete with chainsaw-wielding maniac) and some footage of the castle, where Ashley accompanies Leon as he blasts his way through groups of chanting monks.
Chances are this will seem familiar to you all, as Resident Evil 4 has been out for 11 years now. Regardless, if you’re looking to pick up the game for PS4 and enjoy it all over again, be sure to see how it’s shaping up below.

Resident Evil 4 was released on the GameCube back in January 2005, though despite its apparent exclusivity to Nintendo’s purple box—plus Shinji Mikami’s assertions that he’d cut off his own head if it ever launched on another system—Resi 4 arrived on PS2 less than a year later.
Capcom has since milked Leon’s European adventure for all its worth, with Resi 4 showing up on Wii, mobile, PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 over the past decade.
Resident Evil 7: biohazard is currently in development for PS4, PC, and Xbox One, and will launch on January 24, 2017. In addition, Capcom is also working on a full-fledged remake of 1998’s stonking survival horror opus Resident Evil 2, though we’ve yet to see the game in action.
