Resident Evil 4 Remake Sales Surpass 3 Million In First 2 Days Of Release

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 Remake has sold three million copies in its first two says on sale, bringing worldwide shipments of the long-running survival horror franchise to 135 million units.

Resident Evil 4 Remake was released on PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on March 24, 2023 and is a full revamp of the original 2005 action horror classic directed by Shinji Mikami. The game reunites players with Resident Evil 2 protagonist Leon S. Kennedy, now a government agent, as he is dispatched to a rural part of Europe to rescue the president’s daughter from a mysterious cult.

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 Remake will receive The Mercenaries mode as free DLC on April 7, while dataminers have uncovered evidence pointing to the release of Separate Ways. This campaign was featured in the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4, and focuses on Ada Wong’s mission that runs concurrently with Leon’s exploits.
