Capcom has announced that it’s bringing the Resident Evil 7 Collector’s Edition to the U.K. early next year.
Differing slightly from the U.S. Collector’s Edition announced last week, the U.K. version includes a 7 inch replica of the Baker family mansion, a 16GB USB stick kitted out to look like the notorious Dummy Finger from the Resi 7 demo, a Resident Evil 20th anniversary art book, 5 lithographs, an alternate cover inlay, and finally, the Survival Pack: Action Set DLC.
Resident Evil 7 Collector’s Edition is NOT a GAME-exclusive, rejoice!
The Collector’s Edition is available at GAME and Amazon, and while Capcom says it’s now available to pre-order at both retailers, we’ve had a glimpse and it doesn’t appear to be listed at the moment. A price point has also yet to be announced, and much like the European edition that leaked a few weeks back, it does not appear to include a copy of the game itself.
For those who are curious the U.S. edition’s mansion replica functions as a music box, playing a brief rendition of the song ‘Go Tell Aunt Rhody,’ and you also get a ‘Creepy Note’ thrown into the mix. However, it doesn’t have as much space on the Dummy Finger USB and doesn’t have the art book.
Resident Evil 7: biohazard is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on January 24, 2017. The game takes place four years after the events of the previous game, and sees newcomer Ethan searching for his missing wife in a spooky plantation mansion in Louisiana, U.S. However, he quickly finds himself stalked by the mysterious Bakers, a cannibalistic and seemingly immortal family who seem intent on slaughtering anyone who ventures into their crumbling abode.
Capcom has revealed that it will be updating the Resident Evil 7 demo once again prior to release, and is expected to do so at some point next month. Oh, and if you don’t fancy picking up the Collector’s Edition, remember that GAME is offering an exclusive Steelbook Edition of the upcoming horror sequel.
