Capcom has released Resident Evil 7: biohazard update 1.02 ahead of today’s release of the Banned Footage Vol.2 DLC.
Resident Evil 7 update 1.02 adds new Trophies
The update is now available to download and includes a number of bug fixes for the critically acclaimed survival horror game, plus a host of new Trophies that tie in with the new DLC, which features three new modes: 21, Daughters, and Jack’s 55th Birthday. Banned Footage Vol.2 comes as part of the Resident Evil 7 Season Pass or can be purchased separately for $15.99.
Resident Evil 7 will receive two more DLC expansions, the first of which is due out in the spring and comes in the shape of the free Not a Hero mission. Capcom has confirmed that this mode will not involve protagonist Ethan Winters, and appears to focus on a new, mysterious character that you’ll be familiar with if you have completed the game.
The final DLC drop has yet to be detailed by Capcom, although presumably it’ll come in the shape of a third Banned Footage tape with new game modes. Both Banned Footage tapes so far have included at least one story-based chapter that helps flesh out the main narrative of Resident Evil 7, with Vol.1 chronicling cameraman Clancy Jarvis’ exploits following his capture by the Baker family.
Resident Evil 7 is available now for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. The game is fully playable from start to finish with PlayStation VR, something which PSU experienced to great effect in our Resident Evil 7 review. Capcom confirmed last week that the game has shipped three million copies worldwide following its launch on January 24, 2017.
