Resident Evil: Afterlife is coming to Blu-ray 3D on December 28, 2010, announced Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
Two separate Resident Evil: Afterlife Blu-rays are set to be released: a standard Blu-ray, as well as a 3D Blu-ray which also contains the 2D version of the film. Both Blu-rays will contain a PlayStation 3 theme in addition to filmmaker commentary, deleted and extended scenes, outtakes, an "Undead Vision" picture-in-picture mode, BD-Live functionality, and a bevy of special features about the film’s production.
Afterlife, unlike the recent slew of movies adapted for 3D in post-production, was shot in native 3D with the same cameras James Cameron used during the production of Avatar.
