Resident Evil Requiem’s Story DLC Is Reportedly Launching After RE: Veronica

Dusk Golem, an insider with a solid track record on the Resident Evil series, has revealed that he’s heard murmurs that the story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem will not be released until after the upcoming Resident Evil: Veronica.

Word in the grapevine is RE9 DLC is releasing after Resident Evil Veronica. To see how it plays out, but it’s been murmured to be further out,” Golem commented. Obviously, nothing official has been announced yet, with Capcom only stating earlier this year that it’s working on a story expansion for the game, with no launch window mentioned.

Capcom has released one post-launch content drop for Resident Evil Requiem so far, namely the mini-game Leon Must Die Forever. While no details have been revealed about the story expansion, Golem has stated that the character of Ada Wong is likely to appear; she’s featured in every Leon game to date after all, so it wouldn’t be too surprising to see her again.

Resident Evil Requiem was released in February 2026 for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, and you can have a gander at our full verdict here. The game takes place around 28 years after the Raccoon City incident (as depicted in RE2 & RE3), and sees Leon teaming up with newcomer Grace Ashcroft as they investigate a series of mysterious deaths linked to survivors of the T-Virus outbreak, eventually leading them back to the now-destroyed Raccoon City.

Meanwhile, Resident Evil: Veronica, a remake of 2000’s Resident Evil – CODE: Veronica, is slated to arrive in 2027. The game sees Claire Redfield captured while searching for her brother Chris and taken to the remote Rockfort Island, which is home to the Ashford family, one of the co-founders of the Umbrella Corporation.
