Blood Disgusting has exhumed details of a TV series based on Capcom’s multi-million selling Resident Evil video game franchise.
According to the site, the show is carrying the working title of Arklay, named after the Arklay Mountain region surrounding Raccoon City from the early Resident Evil titles
Fans will recognize this area as the location of the Spencer Mansion and Umbrella Training Facility featured in Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero, respectively.
Masterminded by Shawn Christopher Lebert, the series will focus on an outbreak of cannibalistic homicides in and around Raccoon City, which served as the backdrop to the original Resident Evil.
"When Detective James Reinhardt is thrust into a series of bizarre homicides, he unravels the city is hiding a dark conspiracy. Learning a fatal virus is connected to it all, Reinhardt discovers it’s already coursing through him. With time no longer on his side, he must solve the conspiracy to save his own life,” reads the pitch.
