Resident Evil Village Is A Cross-Gen Game After All – Rumor

Resident Evil Village/Resident Evil 8 has only been confirmed for PS5, PC and Xbox Series X, but according to Capcom insider Dusk Golem, the game is still targeting a cross-generation release.

Resident Evil 8 Still A Cross-Gen Game

Posting on Twitter, the insider seems pretty confident in his source, saying that he has “100% confirmation” that the game will be a cross-generation release, and that it was originally targeting a January 2021 launch prior to the coronavirus outbreak.

So I’ve said before that I know for a fact (before COVID) this game was launching a cross-gen game aiming for a January 2021 release date. Let me just say I got 100% confirm the game is still cross-gen, that will be revealed soon, release date is still aiming for first-half 2021.

Capcom hasn’t made any official announcement on this yet, but Dusk Golem’s track record for Resident Evil games in particular has been pretty solid, and dates back to when Resident Evil 2 Remake was in development.

Resident Evil Village is currently slated for release in 2021, and will feature heavily at the Tokyo Game Show 2020.
