The trophy list, which stands at 31 trophies in total (7 Gold, 5 Silver, and 18 Bronze), has a lot of your standard roguelike tropes, such as defeating all the bosses, dying for the first time, and upgrading your various persistent progression systems.
But, where the difficulty and potential grindy stuff looks to come in is the trophies which require you to see all of Selene’s narrative sequences, focused on the house, and finishing the surveys for each area of the game, which we presume to mean scanning all the items in the environment, finding all the bonuses and abilities, and defeating every type of enemy. Pile onto that the fact that roguelikes are notoriously tricky and require a fair bit of repeat playing and you could be looking at a trophy list that takes a while to fully fill out. You can see the full list here.
The game, which is less than two weeks away, just got a new trailer showcasing the enemies you will be battling on Atropos and a recent dev diary focused on the narrative Housemarque have created.
Returnal releases for PS5 on April 30, 2021.
