Team NINJA’s Yosuke Hayashi has highlighted the crucial role that PlayStation Studios played in getting Rise of the Ronin off the ground, insisting the project wouldn’t have even got started without Sony’s support.
Yosuke-san’s comments come during an interview with RPG site alongside Team NINJA boss Fumihiko Yasuda, following the release of the PC version of Rise of the Ronin. Yasuda-san revealed how PlayStation Studios was heavily involved in the production of the PS5 edition of the game:

We received support in publishing and localization for the Nioh series, but for Rise of the Ronin, in addition to that, PlayStation Studios was involved in almost the entire PS5 version development process. They shared valuable insights on various aspects, including accessibility and improving onboarding accuracy, which not only enhanced the value of the title but also provided a significant experience for Team Ninja.
