The head of Take-Two has revealed its full lineup for the current financial year, meaning we won’t see any new titles from Rockstar Games until April 2017 at the very earliest.
Sadly, this means that even if the studio is working on sequels to Red Dead Redemption and Bully (yeah, we can dream), they won’t be out for quite a while yet. This also presumably rules out the long-rumored BioShock Collection, which doesn’t form part of Take-Two’s schedule.
It’s not all doom and gloom though. The publishing behemoth has plenty of new games coming out, including Mafia 3, Civilization VI, WWE 2K17 and NBA 2K17. Battleborn also forms part of this schedule, although that’s just been released.
"Just to clarify, we’ve announced the entire release schedule for the year and that’s what you should expect our release schedule to be and that’s what our outlook is based on," said Strauss Zelnick. "Any changes would be performance based largely."
Take-Two said during the same financial call overnight that Rockstar is working on some ‘exciting new games’ to be revealed ‘soon.’ The company will also have a major presence at E3, hinting that it could reveal said new games at the Los Angeles event.
