Rumbleverse Adding Playground And Duos Mode For August 11 Launch On PS4, PS5

Iron Galaxy has lifted the lid on a couple of new modes for the forthcoming 40-player brawler Rumbleverse, namely Duos and Playground.

First up, Duos Mode does what it says on the tin; you battle side-by-side with a mate, share loot, and protect each other to strive for victory. The gameplay builds on the Solo Brawler Royale that players are familiar with, but adds a new layer of strategy into the mix due to the fact there are two players in the game.

In Duos Mode, you start with only eight slots for your stats, and a bit less Max Health than you do when you play alone. Additionally, you won’t have access to the Superstar Comeback system. If your teammate gets eliminated, you will get additional Max Health and Stat Slots awarded to you to help keep you in the fight. Don’t worry though, as running out of Health in Duos mode won’t KO you right away.

Meanwhile, Playground Mode allows you to jump into a free roam experience, with the city fully open and ripe for you to poke around at your leisure. Here, you can track down training modules in different neighbourhoods and take various gameplay lessons, spar with high-tech robots, and even explore the city with a mate in tow.

Finally, Rumbleverse Season 1 is locked down for August 18, with the Battle Pass featuring 100 rewards to unlock by earning Fame and progressing through your career. Rewards vary from accessories and accessory sets that can be used to customise your look, Title Card, emotes and more.

Rumbleverse launches for PS5 & PS4 on August 11.
