Reuters has claimed that Activision Blizzard is eyeing up the possibility of turning its Guitar Hero franchise into a reality TV series/tour, with further discussions also flirting with the prospect of creating a movie based on Call of Duty.
One source was quoted saying: "They are being talked about for the big screen," though Activision Blizzard bigwig Bobby Kotick is remaining tight lipped on the matter. When pushed however, he did concede, "It [Guitar Hero] might make for a good TV show or a good concert tour."
The publisher recently announced that the latest entry in the series, Guitar Hero: World Tour, was the best selling third-party title on a dollar basis across all platforms throughout North America and Europe .
