Rumor – BioShock 4 Could Be A PlayStation Console Exclusive

Cloud Chamber‘s highly anticipated new BioShock game (or BioShock 4, as people like to call it) could have some form of PlayStation exclusivity. Presumably this means PS5, as the game is still some way off and will likely not come to PS4 too.

That’s according to YouTuber Xbox Era, a leaker who has a fairly solid track record, who said that he’s not sure yet if it will be a fully console exclusive or a timed exclusive. Obviously, you should take this with a huge pinch of salt, as there’s absolutely no confirmation about this from the game’s developer or publisher.

Either way, that’s a pretty major bombshell to drop, considering BioShock has been a multiplatform franchise since its inception – although it took a year for the first game to hit PS3 after PC and Xbox 369.

The new BioShock game is currently in the early stages of development, with a recent job listing for the project suggesting the game will utilise the Unreal Engine 5. Other listings indicate an open-world game ‘with character and personality.’
