Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has revealed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will receive campaign DLC in 2023 as well as a “greatest hits” multiplayer map pack, presumably to plug the gap next year where it is not expected a new Call of Duty game will launch.
Next year they’ll be selling new stuff for MW2, an expansion or something like that (not sure exactly what it’ll look like but it’l have campaign stuff too). No actual new COD unit 2024 as I reported earlier this year.
This backs up previous reports from leaker TheGhostOfHope who also claimed that a “greatest hits” map pack will be released, which is set to feature nearly all of the maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from 2009.

In related news, it has been claimed Sledgehammer Games is not working on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare 2 as previously reported. Elsewhere, it appears that Modern Warfare 2 could also receive a number of famous football stars as part of a future event.
Finally, Call of Duty 2024 looks set to be developed by Treyarch (the studio behind the Black Ops franchise) and is reportedly going to feature a two-year lifecycle.
