Sony’s State of Play event on July 8 will reportedly play host to a full trailer for Grand Theft Auto 5 PS5, which fits in with the format holder’s confirmation that the event will offer updates on third-party titles.
That’s at least according to the Reddir rumor mill, which correctly outed the July 8 date for the new State of Play event. It’s also claiming that GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced will be showcased there in trailer form, which would mark the first time we’ve seen it in action.
With the source having been proven right, it definitely gives this latest chatter a bit more weight. Still, as always, it’s best to consume this with a healthy dose of salt for the time being.
Sony confirmed that the State of Play event will play host to a nine-minute update on Deathloop, as well as updates on indie titles. God of War Ragnarok and Horizon: Forbidden West will not be showing their face, sadly.
GTA 5 will launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in November 2021.
