Hangar 13 is reportedly hoping to get a fifth entry in the Mafia franchise greenlit by Take-Two Interactive, according to Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier.
The report claims that newly-appointed Hangar 13 boss Nick Baynes told staff in a virtual meeting that he’s hoping to get another Mafia game off the ground while the fourth game is in production. Baynes is apparently eager to do this so the Mafia 4 team will have another project to jump into once that project has wrapped.
It’s worth reporting that no new Mafia game has been announced at this point, and even if Mafia 4 is actually in the works, it’s still very early days.
Speaking of that game, last week we heard reports that the new Mafia game is going to be a prequel to the original trilogy, and will take place in Sicily.

The original Mafia trilogy is now available in remastered form for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
