A leak on Facebook has apparently confirmed the existence of a new Tony Hawk game due out this year.
Tony Hawk Returning In 2020?
The news comes from punk rock band The Death Set, who revealed on the social networking site that it has just licensed five songs for the as-yet unannounced Tony Hawk game. No doubt someone out there is going to be on some serious damage control right now, as this info surely wasn’t meant to be available for public consumption.
Unsurprisingly, the post has since been taken down, but this being the Internet, the word has already spread. Here’s what it read:
Just licensed 5 new songs to Tony Hawk 2020 game. You’ll be hearing this shit soon.

Activision hasn’t confirmed that a new Tony Hawk game is in the works, and the man himself is keeping mum, too. While the franchise started off strongly, things went down hill over time, with 2015’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 being notoriously rubbish.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater debuted in 1999 and was developed by Neversoft, spawning a series that went on to become one of the most successful of the early 2000s. Pro Skater eventually made way for Tony Hawk’s Underground, a series that attempted to inject a narrative into the mix, along with Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland.
After the poor performance of Tony Hawk’s Ride and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, Activision allowed the licensing deal to the series expire while still maintaining publishing rights to the games.
Rest assured, we’ll bring you more details about the new Tony Hawk game as soon as they become available.
