Rumor: PSP2 visuals to match early PS3 games

According to IGN, Sony’s PSP2 will boast enough technical clout under its hood to churn out visuals "comparable" to early PlayStation 3 games.

Furthermore, the website also claims that the handheld will feature concave analog sticks instead of convex.
“As far as graphics are concerned, the PSP 2 is a beast, packing enough processing hardware to produce graphics comparable to early PlayStation 3 titles,” the report states.

“The processor, we’re told, is just over half as powerful as the PS3, though the specific framework of the cores and the clock speed was not revealed.”

Sony hasn’t formally announced PSP2 yet, though thanks to the deluge of rumors and comments from various developers over the past few months, it’s pretty much a given we’ll be gearing up for the handheld’s launch this time next year.
