Ubisoft is reportedly targeting a 2024 release for the Japan-set Assassin’s Creed Codename Red.
Speaking in a LinkedIn post earlier this year (but only just spotted by Access the Animus), Arisa Lagunzad, Ubisoft’s business development and brand partnership executive, said the company is looking for a Japanese partner to work on “the biggest blockbuster of 2024.”
While the mention of 2024 has been removed, but the translation of the original Japanese text reads: “We are seeking sponsorship partner for this title Assassin’s Creed Codename RED for next year.”
While Ubisoft hasn’t announced anything regarding the Assassin’s Creed Codename RED release date yet, a previous report also claimed that the game would launch in 2024.
The French publisher has major plans for the Assassin’s Creed going forward, with this year seeing the launch of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and upcoming projects including the aforementioned Codename Red, Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, Assassin’s Creed, and a rumoured Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake.
