Destiny 2 is now a worldwide phenomenon, something not entirely surprising from the same studio that made the very first worldwide console FPS phenomenon in Halo, so as Bungie gets ready to celebrate their 30 years in the industry, a recent rumour seems to suggest that we’ll see some Halo easter eggs in Destiny 2.
The report comes from website The Game Post, as a text document appears to have a somewhat detailed account of what to expect from Bungie regarding the anniversary and some upcoming content.
Of course, it should go without saying that everything about this should be taken with a grain of salt, though if it is true, then that means PlayStation players will be able to experience some classic Halo weapons and maps, along with two secret Halo related missions, according to the leak.
The weapons in question allegedly will be the classic Halo sniper, the CE magnum pistol, the battle rifle and gravity hammer to make a full four set for players to have an entirely Halo themed loadout. There leak also states that Halo armour sets will also be included as part of the celebration.
Halo is of course, a large part of Bungie‘s history, so it’s not entirely crazy to think they would want to honour that in Destiny, after hitting 30 years. If it is true though, that means you could potentially make your Destiny 2 character on PS4 or PS5 look like Master Chief, weapons and all. What a crazy world we live in.
