Rumour — Call Of Duty 2025 Zombies Mode To Feature Six Round-Based Maps During Its Lifecycle

A report on Insider Gaming has claimed that Call of Duty 2025, which has yet to be given an official title by Activision, will feature a Zombies mode with six round-based maps during the course of its lifecycle.

Developer Treyarch is reportedly planning for the zombies maps to be made from the ground up, allowing them to be played in different game modes such as round-based, brief, and outbreak. The report adds that the studio was considering more “out there” settings for this latest iteration, including one location set in the remains of New York City after the Nazis dropped an atomic bomb.

Other location ideas include Vietnam, Afghanistan, and a space station in the Dark Aether. Furthermore, a feedback session has suggested that Call of Duty 2025 will feature the biggest zombies map to date, and will feature a Tranzit-like transportation feature.

Keep in mind that none of this has been confirmed by Activision yet, and it’s not known if all of the above map ideas were actually seen through for inclusion in the final release. As previously reported, Call of Duty 2025 is set to be a sequel to Black Ops II, and looks set to arrive for both last and current-generation systems despite it being nearly five years into the current hardware cycle.

Call of Duty 2025 will presumably arrive in the October/November release window, although a concrete date has yet to be announced. It’s also been claimed that this year’s entry in the franchise will feature remastered maps from Black Ops II, which makes sense if it is indeed a sequel to that game.
