Leake NateTheHate has claimed that two major Xbox titles – Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Flight Simulator 2024 – are both head to the PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2, as Microsoft continues to expand its portfolio of first-party titles to other formats.
So, games that I have heard will be released multiplatform in 2025 beyond the obvious, include Flight Simulator 2024, will come to PlayStation 5 and Switch 2, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, will be coming to PS5 and Switch 2 as well.
He also speculate that if a Gears of War Collection is indeed in the pipeline and is coming out this year, then it will probably be a day-one release for the PS5, too. Nothing official about any of these titles coming to Sony’s console have been confirmed by Microsoft, but hopefully we will hear something soon. Nonetheless, this is strictly a rumour for the time being, so grab the salt shaker just in case.

While we’re on the subject of Halo, it was reported last June that Halo: Combat Evolved was heading to the PS5, presumably the remastered version that was featured in The Master Chief Collection. However, with NateTheHate’s claims, it appears that we’re getting more than just the first Halo.
Last year Microsoft kicked off its multiplatform strategy with the likes of Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves among others launching for PS5, and will also bring Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to Sony’s console this spring. The initial batch of Xbox games performed well on other formats, so Project Latitude (the name of the initiative to bring games to rival formats) is obviously paying off so far.
