The PS Plus Essential April 2026 free games have yet to be announced by Sony, but once again we’ve heard about one title that will be making the cut from reliable leaker, Billbil-kun from Dealabs. According to them, subscribers to PS Plus will be able to download Lords of the Fallen as part of next month’s lineup.
Lords of the Fallen is labellers the main PS Plus Essential game for April 2026, although right now there’s no details on what other titles will be available. Billbil-kun has a near-flawless track record when it comes to outing PS Plus content and other Sony-related news, so we have every reason to believe the are on the money once more.
Developed by Hexworks, Lords of the Fallen was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in October 2023, and is the follow-up to 2014’s The Lords of the Fallen. Back in April last year, publisher CI Games revealed that Lords of the Fallen had yet to turn a profit after 18 months on sale, although this hasn’t stopped a sequel from being green lit, with Lords of the Fallen 2 currently in development and slated to launch at some point this year.
Speaking of Lords of the Fallen 2, back in December 2025 it was revealed by CI Games boss Marek Tyminski that the fantasy-RPG is being shaped with ‘real player feedback‘ in mind, presumably meaning that many of the issues that players had with its predecessor will be addressed in the follow-up.
