Rumour – Silent Hill Remake Is Targeting A 2027 Release Window

Bloober Team’s upcoming remake of Silent Hill is reportedly targeting a release in 2027, according to a new report from MP1st.

While nothing official has been announced yet, Konami’s Motoi Okamoto, who serves as the producer on the series, said the company is aiming to have a new Silent Hill project released once a year if possible, so a 2027 launch would align with these plans. Silent Hill Remake is reportedly in production under the casting codename of Project Noise, with both Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew attached to star in the remake of the 1999 horror classic.

Silent Hill Remake was announced by Bloober Team back in June 2025, and insider Dusk Golem revealed soon after that the game had been in production for around three years by that point.

Konami originally released Silent Hill back in 1999 for the PlayStation. The game follows Harry Mason as he searches for his missing daughter, Cheryl, in Silent Hill while fending off grotesque monsters and solving fiendish puzzles. His exploration of the town takes him to areas including an elementary school, hospital, and amusement park, encountering a cast of eclectic characters along the way. Unlike Resident Evil, Silent Hill used 3D backgrounds and employed its fog effects not only for atmosphere, but to hide the technical limitations of the hardware.
