Reliable leaker billbil-kun has revealed that the rumoured Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition is launching on June 23, 2026.
As you might have expected, Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition features the base version of the Blue Blur’s lates 3D platformer, as well as all previously released DLC. Beyond that, the leaks states that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game is going to receive a major overhaul compared to the Nintendo Switch edition of the game.
Billbil-kun reveals in his report that Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition will retail for $49.99 on PS5, PC, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, with a physical release planned for the Switch 2 version.
Sonic Frontiers was originally released in November 2022 for PS5, PS4, PC, Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game marked a major departure for the Blue Blur, as it features an open world structure combined while retaining the series’ emphasis on speed and platforming. The game sees Sonic and his pals falling through a wormhole and left stranded in Cyber Space, an artificial dimension of the Starfall Islands. After escaping, the speedy hedgehog sets about rescuing his friends by defeating Titans across the island, which can only be done by collecting the Chaos Emeralds.
