Rumour — Toys For Bob Agrees To Partner With Microsoft For Its Next Project

Toys for Bob, the developer behind Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, has reportedly agreed to partner with Microsoft for its next game.

Last month Toys for Bob announced that it was leaving publisher Activision to go independent, but made it clear it isn’t ruling out working with the company or Microsoft in the future. At the time, Paul Yan and Avery Lodato of Toys for Bob said the team was “exploring a possible partnership” with Microsoft.

A report on Windows Central now claims that this deal has now been cemented, with sources claiming that Xbox Game Studios’ Matt Booty was asked about Toys for Bob during a recent Xbox townhall meeting. In response, he reportedly said that an agreement had been reached with the developer and that the new project would “be similar to games Toys for Bob has made in the past.”

The most recent game from Toys for Bob was the party-themed Crash Team Rumble, which launched last year but didn’t really match the success of its previous titles.
