As if your favorite PlayStation characters, in the way of Kratos, Nathan Drake, and Ratchet & Clank, weren’t enough to entice you to preorder ModNation Racers, it was revealed today that you can also get the loveable Sackboy. Inside specially marked PS3 copies of ModNation Racers is a PSN voucher that allows you to get the Sackboy Mod and his Cardboard kart. If you pre-order, your package will come equipped with a Sackboy voucher.
Pre-ordering from participating retailers (Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and GameCrazy) allows you to get one of your favorite characters, and you will also get one of the four Bonus Mod and Kart packs. You won’t know exactly what pack you are getting when you pre-order, so you’ll have to wait and see what’s in your package.
These bonus packs include Mouse Trap with feline ears, cat eyes, and claws. Your kart will come equipped with a cheese wheel and cat toy ornaments.
The Lil Tinker is a homemade soap box racer and x-ray specs. The mod includes x-ray glasses and a pot helmet, while the kart includes nail ornaments and trash steering wheel.
The Cowboy pack includes a cowboy hat, straw, and chaps for the mod, while the kart includes a saddle seat and rope steering wheel.
Finally, Woody is all about golf, with the mod decked out in a golf hat, gopher nose, and argyle sweater vest, while the kart includes a golf kart seat.
ModNation Racers is due out on PS3 and PSP (pre-order bonuses not for the PSP version) on May 21 in U.K. and May 25 in the U.S.
