Speaking during an interview with MCV, Deep Silver boss Klemens Kundratitz said the publishing giant has a major announcement planned for E3 in June, hinting at a possible new entry in the Saints Row franchise.
Specifically, Kundratitz told the publication that the company has "a lot of games in the pipeline and are very much looking forward to E3, where we are not going to be absent and where we will make our next major announcement."
Deep Silver has secured the rights to a number of major video game franchises, including Homefront, Dead Island and the aforementioned Saints Row. Homefront is getting a sequel in May, while Dead Island 2 recently picked up a new developer in the shape of Sumo Digital.
However, the publisher has yet to announce any plans for future Saints Row games, with the most recent entry being 2015’s Saints Row IV: Re-elected/Gat out of Hell for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Outside of this the studio has published a number of other well-known titles including Metro Redux and Killer is Dead. It’s low point was probably the abysmal Ride to Hell, although it’s probably a safe bet that franchise won’t be revisited anytime soon.
