THQ’s finally lifted the veil on Saints Row: The Third, confirming the crime-fuelled sequel will be muscling onto store shelves in late 2011.
Due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360, the third entry in the popular franchise sees players totally minted from the get-go, assuming control of elite crime organisation, the 3rd Street Saints.
Now a household name, 3rd Street Saints find itself gearing up for a bloody battle with rival faction the Syndicate, who’s hell bent on getting respect from the mobster giants.
“Saints Row: The Third puts you on top of the world, right at the beginning of the game, with all the perks that go along with being the head of an elite criminal organization,” commented THQ Core Games chief, Danny Bilson.
“There’s no delivering pizza, no shuttling family members about in a long series of taxi missions. Instead, you take all the power of the Third Street Saints and you take the world by storm.”
