Housemarque’s upcoming PS5-exclusive title Saros has receive nearly five minutes of new gameplay footage from Sony’s State of Play broadcast this evening.
The gameplay footage offers a deep dive into Saros’ combat systems and its environment, and features commentary by Housemarque’s Gregory Louden, the game’s creative director. In addition, the trailer also confirms a release date – March 20, 2026! Check it out below.

Scheduled for release in 2026, Saros is the next project from Housemarque following the critically acclaimed Returnal on PS5, and takes place on the planet Carcosa. The game follows Arjun Devarj, a Soltari Enforcer investigating a lost off-world colony. Saros utilises a third-person viewpoint and includes persistent resource and progressions systems, which means after each death you are able to permanently upgrade your loadout for subsequent playthroughs.
Housemarque announced Saros during the February 2025 State of Play broadcast, with development of the game having commenced three years ago. Ilari Kuittinen, the co-founder and CEO of Housemarque, revealed that the game was made possible due to the acquisition of the studio by Sony back in 2021.
