The Birmingham City University’s already-in-play program to give students a chance at a paid position at a game studio, Gamer Camp, has been picked up and fully endorsed by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
SCEE today announced that it’ll be offering four lucky students the chance to have their scholarship fees paid, as well as the opportunity to have a guaranteed 6 month (paid) placement at one of Sony’s UK development studios.
"We are delighted to offer PlayStation Academic Scholarships in partnership with Gamer Camp: Pro for the second year running," said Dr. Maria Stukoff of SCEE.
"It’s a great opportunity for the next generation of British videogame talent to acquire professional development skills before they embark into a competitive industry."
"Access to Sony development hardware, experienced industry support and these PlayStation Academic Scholarships [provide] Gamer Camp students with an unparalleled educational opportunity," added Gamer Camp co- founder, Guy Wilday.
