Krafton has revealed that a second PUBG game will be releasing in 2022, on top of the survival horror game, The Callisto Protocol.
Revealed in an interview with Bloomberg, Kim Chang-Han, the CEO of Krafton, confirmed that the publisher is aiming to be more than a one-hit-wonder and that a new mobile battle royale title will be releasing this year.
2022 will also see the release of “another PUBG-related PC and console game.” This is separate from The Callisto Protocol, which is Striking Distance Studios’ next-gen survival horror single-player adventure. The game is being helmed by Glen Schofield, who previously worked on Dead Space.
There is no word on what genre this title will be, but we will likely see it revealed later this year or early next year. The Callisto Protocol was revealed back at The Game Awards and is set in the far future of the PUBG universe.
