See PS4 Remote Play at Work on PC

The Remote Play app for PS4 has been  a muted success story so far. It’s Vita version was great when developers took it into consideration (Destiny and Fallout 4 among the better examples), while the Xperia mobie phone edition was a bit too hit and miss, and required a Dual Shock controller and attachment to work properly. The PC app came out this week though, and arguably, it’s the best version of it to date, at least in terms of connection and latency. You can see just how well it works in the video below, provided by our very own PSU forum legend, Lethal.

The usual issues are still there of course, resolution being lowered, and games that require very quick reactions are a bit risky (some games you can just about compensate the minor latency divide), but it’s more than agreeable compared to the small screen approach. Hopefully this is a stepping stone to a more refined version down the road.
