The Shadow of the Colossus PS4 remake may include content that wasn’t in the original game.
Speaking with Eurogamer, director Fumito Ueda, confirmed that he has submitted proposals to the development team to change some things in the game, though he admits that he doesn’t know whether any of the new amendments will be make the final cut.
"I transmitted my petition about the content and tuning but I don’t know the implementation will be what I told," he said.
He didn’t go into details about what those changes were.
The Shadow of the Colossus PS4 remake was announced at E3 2017 with a spectacular trailer. Development of the HD version will be handled by Bluepoint Games, who were involved in creating the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and other remakes.
Previously, Sony’s Yoshida-San had said that Shadow of Colossus would feature the same content as the original PS2 version with visual upgrades to the game’s assets, but now it seems like Ueda really wants to see some new content. Let’s hope it makes it in!
The Shadow of the Colossus PS4 remake is due for release in 2018.
