Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital have announced that Shadow Warrior 2 will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in early 2017, following a PC release this October.
Shadow Warrior 2 PS4 includes open level design and 70+ weapons
"The reception to each new bit of Shadow Warrior 2 that we share has been thrilling and our team is excited – and relieved – to finally share our work with the fans," said Michal Szustak, Studio Director at Flying Wild Hog. "We think our small studio has accomplished something special with Shadow Warrior 2 and hope that both fans of the classic FPS and those that enjoy more modern shooters will enjoy the game."

The follow-up to 2014’s bloody first-person actioner, Shadow Warrior 2 once again follows the exploits of Lo Wang, who is now working as a mercenary. Unlike its predecessor however, the sequel allows gamers to not only tackle the action solo, but also take part in four-player co-op.
In addition to co-op, Shadow Warrior 2 also introduces a more open level design, eschewing the linear trappings of the original game. Gamers are encouraged to explore now thanks to the ability to climb and double-jump, and can unlock more than 70 different weapons spanning firearms and blades.
