A post on Reddit has uncovered evidence that one particular and extremely dodgy developer has been exploiting Sony’s system to flood the PS5’s ‘Games To Wishlist’ section to ensure its cheap shovelware is getting top billings.
The developer is known as Midnight Works SRL but has changed its name many times, among which incudes Cool Devs S.R.L, Gaming Dev SRL and other fake titles. The games aren’t real either; they are hastily cobbled together rom asset flips with false release dates, and most of them have the world ‘SIMULATOR’ in their title.

As of the time of the Reddit post, the developer in question has around 60 of the top 65 entires in the Games To Wishlist category, and again, are not proper games. Many of them are basically a single Unity environment with no objectives or genuine gameplay to speak of.
Furthermore, none of the games are actually approved to be released on the PS5; Midnight Works SRL (or whatever they’re going by) is only PS4-approved, but by exploiting the system, they are able to get massive visibility on the PS5 dashboard.
This isn’t the first time this has happened. Sometime back, this same developer got caught gaming the “Games to Wishlist” section by assigning release dates years into the future to push their games to the top of the list. In response, Sony changed the section to prioritize games coming out the soonest instead. But this developer didn’t even try to hide their sleazy tactics—they simply started setting all their games to release tomorrow and then changing the date every single day.
The author of the post suggests a way for Sony to combat this problem, simply by changing ‘Games To Wishlist’ to only display titles with a PS5 version. You can read more details on the whole topic in the Reddit thread here.
