Bloober Team‘s upcoming Silent Hill 2 Remake may re-emerge from the fog soon, as the game’s Steam listing has been updated with Achievements (12 in total, suggesting this could be the number of Trophies on PS5), suggesting something might be around the corner.
The account also saw a bit more activity over the weekend, further hinting that we may be getting some new updates on the game. Sadly that’s about all there is to go on right now, and despite hope that Silent Hill 2 Remake would show its face at the Tokyo Game Show 2023 last month, it failed to materialise.
Silent Hill 2 Remake was announced during Konami’s Silent Hill Transmission event on October 19, 2022, so it’s been nearly a year since we saw the game in action. As such, new info is long overdue, so hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer for an update.
The game is a full remake of the original 2001 psychological horror title developed by Team Silent for the PS2, and follows James Sunderland has he travels to Silent Hill after receive a letter from his deceased wife, Mary. Upon arriving, he finds the town shrouded in a mysterious fog and populated by grotesque creatures; with no choice but to keep pressing forward, Jame explores the town in search of answers.
