Silent Hill 2 Remake Studio Doesn’t Rule Out Working On More Games In The Series

Piotr Babieno, CEO of Silent Hill 2 Remake developer Bloober Team, has told IGN during a recent interview that the studio isn’t against working on more projects in the psychological horror franchise down the line.

Right now the team are obviously busy working on Silent Hill 2 Remake so there’s nothing to announce right now, but did note that “Konami is interested” in talking to Bloober Team about possible future collaborations.

Those people who are in charge of Konami Gaming right now – of course, I can’t tell you all the details – but I believe that they do understand how gaming works. They came from companies which worked on many great projects, and I’m pretty sure that they are making great choices by choosing partners, by choosing projects… And I do understand that people are a little bit angry at Konami for the stuff which happened in the past, but I would like to say, give them the time, because they do know what they are doing.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is currently in development for PS5 and PC with a release date yet to be announced.

Previously, Bloober Team revealed that it has revamped Silent Hill 2’s enemy AI to provide a more enjoyable combat experience for players, while the game uses performance capture techniques and has made protagonist James Sunderland slightly older than his original incarnation.

The original Silent Hill 2 was released for PS2 in 2001 and is widely regarded as not only the best entry in the series, but also one of the best horror games ever made.
