Konami’s highly-anticipated Silent Hill 2 Remake from developer Bloober Team will only be playable on PC and PS5 until October 8, 2025, a new trailer for the game confirms.
The trailer published on Thursday is all to do with showing off the “Immersion” that comes with playing Silent Hill 2 Remake on PS5, with the 4K visuals, haptic feedback and adaptive triggers of the DualSense and the 3D audio.
It even features a short showcase of the DualSense’s light bar, and how it changes depending on James’ health status. And then right at the end, comes a disclaimer identifying the PS5 as the only console the game will be available on until 10.08.2025.
“Also available on PC. Not available on other formats until 10.08.2025. PS5 vertical stand sold separately,” the disclaimer reads.
So that means without a gaming PC, you’ll need to buy a PS5 to play the long-awaited remake when it releases this coming October 8, 2024. Or wait even longer and play it on Xbox Series consoles or potentially the Nintendo Switch 2 next Fall.
