Motoi Okamoto, series producer on Silent Hill, has revealed during an interview with IGN at the Tokyo Game Show 2025 last week that future instalments in the psychological horror franchise won’t necessarily follow the same template as Silent Hill f, instead offering their “own distinct flavour.”
Reflecting on the game’s success, Okamoto-san expected its reception to be more polarising, but overall reactions were more positive than he anticipated.
Of course, that doesn’t mean every future Silent Hill will be like Silent Hill f. Each one will have its own distinct flavor. We want to keep experimenting and be ambitious, both in terms of gameplay design and storytelling, so please look forward to the next Silent Hill as well.
