Silent Hill: The Short Message Has Been Rated In Korea

With rumours swirling about Konami reviving the Silent Hill franchise, a rating for something called Silent Hill: The Short Message has appeared on the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea over the weekend.

Nothing has official has been announced yet, but the publisher is listed as UNIANA, which is a regular publisher of Konami titles in Korea.

As mentioned, there have been many rumours about a series of new Silent Hill projects being in the pipeline. One of them is supposedly a full remake of Silent Hill 2, which is reportedly in the works at Bloober Team. There’s also been mention of an episodic title as well as a full sequel, although nothing has been announced yet.

Silent Hill was originally released in 1999 for the PSOne and spawned a number of sequels. Team Silent late disbanded and the franchise landed in the hands of numerous western developers, and it’s been a decade since the last major game was released.
