Silent Hill Townfall Gameplay Gives Us Our First Proper Look At St. Amelia’s Creepy Otherworld

Silent Hill Townfall developer Screen Burn Interactive has released 19 minutes of gameplay for the upcoming survival horror title, offering an extended look at the foggy, atmosphere-soaked town of St. Amelia as well as combat against its monstrous denizens.

Protagonist Simon is first seen exploring the foggy streets of the Scottish town, which is all but deserted. Posters lie scattered around the place that hint at the troubles the town has faced, abandoned shops and houses are ripe for exploration, and the whole place is deathly quiet. At one point, Simon explores Zoe’s house, a nurse who leaves him an organ transplant container and a note, before having a nose around upstairs. He finds the house’s electric meter, but it’s out of juice.

Later on, Simon engages in some melee combat with some grotesque, human-like foes before the whole town shift into the Otherworld. For St. Amelia, the entire area is coated in a red glow and there’s massive industrial pipes dotting the landscape. Simon continues to explore the town, and acquire a pistol that he uses to good effect against more creatures.

Silent Hill Townfall is scheduled for release on PS5 and PC on September 24, 2026.
