Ubisoft has issued an official statement on Skull & Bones following its decision to delay the game earlier this week.
Speaking on Twitter, the company revealed that the additional development time will allow them to implement ‘further polish and balancing’ following user feedback gathered from various tests. While a new release date has yet to be announced, Ubisoft promised more details would follow soon.
Our determination and focus remain the same — offer the best in-game experience possible to our players from Day 1. This extra time will help us in providing further polish and balancing to our game experience, following your feedback from previous tests.

Skull & Bones was originally scheduled for release on March 9, 2023 for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. However, the game is now pencilled in to ship at some point around the end of 2023/early 2024.
