Skull & Bones Release In Doubt As It Will Miss Ubisoft’s Next Fiscal Year

It looks like choppy seas for the Skull and Bones release, as Ubisoft has confirmed that it’s not on the cards for its next financial year, which ends on March 31, 2021.

Skull & Bones Release Probably Not Happening

To be honest, at this point it’s looking increasingly likely that Skull and Bones won’t be happening for a long time, if ever. If I were to guess, Ubisoft has probably migrated it to PS5 and Xbox Series X, but given we’ve heard nothing on the game since its E3 2017 reveal, even that seems doubtful.

Back in May last year, Ubisoft confirmed that the game wouldn’t make it out before March 2020, and sure enough, that was the case.

As mentioned, Ubisoft has five major AAA games due out in its next financial year: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Rainbow Six Quarantine, Gods & Monster, Watch Dogs, and an unannounced that’s probably a new Far Cry.

As for Skull and Bones? Lord knows where it is right now, but let’s hope we get some sort of update soon enough. Otherwise, it’s safe to assume it’s already a permanent resident of Davy Jones’ Locker.
