Sky Go will now be the place for UK and Ireland Sky TV subscribers to go to enjoy their Sky TV service on PS5, as a native app for current generations is finally available.
Previously users were still dealing with the PS4’s version of the app, which didn’t include every channel currently available on other modern devices.
Now however the PS5 has finally caught up, and users will be able to enjoy their full range of channels on PS5, at proper resolutions.
This app will also replace the PS4 version in the coming months, though it is first available on PS5.
“A major overhaul has been completed over several months to bring Sky Go to a PS5,” writes Sky TV on its community forum.
The post also lists some of the features that’ll arrive on consoles for the first time with this new version of the Sky TV app, such as “Continue watching, Auto-play, and substiles.”
It seems like the current version of the console app had a lot of catching up to do then, if it didn’t have the functionality to turn on subtitles before, but thankfully it’s here now.
