Rebellion Unplugged has announced that crowdfunding has launched for Sniper Elite: The Board Game on Kickstarter. Built for two to four players, the board game promises to capture the ‘stealth, action and epic long shots’ of the successful World War II sharpshooter to the tabletop.

The board game takes place in a top-secret WWII U-boat launch facility, and sees one player hopping into the boots of sniper Karl Faiburne, who track their movements on a hidden board, where they will engage in a tense bluffing game while remaining undetected, while using equipment to misdirect opponents and neutralise enemies one-by-one.
Three other players will control squads of German soldiers, who are tasked with defending against Fairburn’s assault by deducing his location and defending the base.
Sniper Elite: The Board Game includes art work created by the game’s concept art team as well as ‘unique, beautifully produced miniatures.’ Meanwhile, Kickstarter backers will receive exclusive content in the shape of a solo mode designed by David Turczi, extra miniatures, and the Eagle’s Nest expansion pack.
Rebellion Unplugged’s Duncan Molloy commented:
It’s a privilege to bring the hugely popular Sniper Elite video game series to the tabletop, with brilliant designers, beautiful art and lovingly crafted miniatures. Sniper Elite the Board Game delivers all the tension and excitement about the video games. We can’t wait for players to get their hands on it!
