Not content with letting Sony have all of the "All-Stars" cross-over fun, Sega has today announced that it will release a Bonus edition of its upcoming game, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, which is scheduled to land on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on November 20, 2012 in North America. This Bonus edition is a limited release and will only be available while stocks last.
The Bonus edition includes some content not seen in the standard edition, most notably, a track based on classic Sega arcade racing series OutRun. This is particularly appropriate since both Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed and the most recent OutRun release, OutRun Online Arcade, are developed by British developer Sumo Digital.
Also included in the Bonus edition is Sonic’s rival Metal Sonic, in what is called the "Metal Sonic Mod Pack". Other extras include an Emoticon Sticker Pack, which are collectibles that can be found throughout the game.
Sega hasn’t said if this Bonus edition will be released in Europe, only that there will be limited copies released.
