SEGA looks set to re-release last year’s Sonic Origins in the shape of Sonic Origins Plus, according to a rating for the game filed with the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea.
There’s literally nothing to go on right now, but it’s worth remembering that Sonic Mania also received a ‘Plus’ version with additional content about a year after its original release. Considering Sonic Origin had some controversial purchase options, there’s a chance that SEGA will bundle all of this with the Plus re-release.
Sonic Origins was originally released for PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One in June 2023. The game features remasters of classic Mega Drive/Genesis titles Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and the Mega CD outing Sonic CD.

Sonic recently celebrated his 30th anniversary, and Sonic Origins was one of two games released to mark the occasion – the other being Sonic Frontiers.
