SEGA has announced that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is set to receive a bunch of crossover DLC in the next few months, starting out with the SpongeBob Squarepants Pack on November 19, 2025.
This includes SpongeBob SquarePants as a playable character alongside Patrick Star, the Patty Wagon vehicle, Bikini Bottom Themed Course, new music tracks inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants, and six different emotes per character. Beyond that, NiGHTS is set to join Sonic and pals in December 2025, followed by Super Monkey Ball in January 2026 and IDW Publishing’s Sonic the Hedgehog in February.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was released on September 25, 2025 for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. You can read our full verdict here.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds sees the Blue Blue and pals using Travel Rings to explore new dimensions while tearing up the track solo or as part of a team. Players will be able to cobble together the ultimate racing machine to suit your personal racing style, and unlock new gadgets to further customise your vehicle with to gain the edge on the track.
